The project

My intentions are to play with the preconception that Canada is a cold and snowy country, while celebrating the magical beauty and might of nature’s vital processes. The photographs, panoramic in format, facilitate immersive experience by extending each image beyond the spectator’s visual field.

Niagara Falls. This renowned natural wonder was captured during a particularly cold winter season. The image has been digitally altered to situate the viewers as if they are hovering just above the falls.
January Snow. Trees and bushes dishevelled and weighed down by a mind-boggling amount of snowfall.
Wintery Night. Tiny ice crystals suspending in extreme cold air were caught by the camera’s flash. How delightful seeing multicoloured fairy lights and orbs bejewelling the darkening landscape.
